Liberty Golf Team will be hosting a Parent/Player informational meeting on Thursday July 30 at 5:30 pm at LHS. Please plan to attend. Being shot records (seniors only) and updated physical. We will offer CERP training for those who have not completed and eligibility forms will need filled out and returned.

CERP Training will be held at LHS cafeteria on July 31st at 6PM. CERP is required by the state for athletes to participate in high school sports. The athlete and parent/guardian must attend. This training is valid for the 26/27 school year.

Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, golf teaches valuable life skills such as patience, honesty, self-discipline, perseverance, confidence, and sportsmanship. It also provides opportunities to build lasting friendships, compete as part of a team, and develop a skill that can be enjoyed with family, friends, and even future employers long after high school. No experience is required! Boys and girls in grades 9–12 are encouraged to come out and give golf a try. Liberty High School needs an athletic trainer for the 26/27 football season! It is imperative we fill this role! If left unfilled no practices or contests can be held. The authorization endorsed for Athletic Trainer may be issued to an individual who is certified as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification, Inc. for Athletic Trainers, and who has registered with the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy. The Authorization may be reissued annually upon application to the WVDE with documentation of valid West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy registration and the recommendation of the employing county superintendent. Additionally, these individuals must attend the Athletic Trainer workshop. 20.3. Limited Football Trainer Authorization. In the event, that a county board of education cannot obtain an Athletic Trainer, the affected county board of education may employ an individual with a medical background that may include, but is not limited to: chiropractor, physical therapist, RN, licensed practical nurse, physician, physician assistant, paramedic, occupational therapist, emergency medical technician, or nurse practitioner. The individual employed must complete the requirements to receive a Limited Football Trainer Authorization and must present a copy of a high school diploma or state -approved high school equivalency.

Maddie Cox now holds the school record for the number of strikeouts in LHS softball history! She had her 500th strikeout last night against Wyoming East. The Raiders defeated the Warriors 6-1 and will travel to Independence today to take on the Patriots. Congratulations to Maddie and good luck Raiders!
