✅ School Day: 7:11 AM – 2:23 PM
🚗 Drop Off/Pick Up: Can begin to drop off at 6:50 A.M. Back entrance (cafeteria). Front is for buses only. Do not park in student/staff reserved spots.
📝 Absences & Notes:
Parents may submit 10 parent notes per year.
Notes must include: student name, date absent, reason, and parent/guardian signature.
Doctor’s notes should always be submitted after an illness.
Students with 3 and 5 unexcused absences will receive notice, and at 10 unexcused absences the student is legally truant (may result in legal action).

📞 Sign-Outs:
If a student drives, parents must send a signed note (with a phone number) in the morning to the office for verification.
Phone call sign-outs are limited to 2 per semester for emergencies only. After that, phone call requests will not be accepted.
No sign-outs after 2:10 PM. Students must remain until dismissal.
Parents/guardians must come to the main entrance to sign students out. Students will not be sent outside without verification.
🚫🍔 Outside Food: No deliveries (DoorDash, etc.). Parents may drop off food before lunch only.
💉 Immunizations: 7th & 12th graders must show proof of Tdap & MCV4. No grace period—students without proof may not attend, participate in sports, or buy parking passes.

Raleigh County Schools Cell Phone Policy
At Liberty High School, personal electronic devices cannot be used during the school day.
⏰ This applies from 7:11 AM – 2:23 PM (including lunch).
Devices include:
Cell phones
Smart watches
AirPods / Bluetooth headphones
Students may bring devices, but they must be powered off and put away in a pocket, purse, backpack, or car.
👉 If a device rings or vibrates while “put away,” it is considered in use and will be confiscated.
Consequences:
1️⃣ 1st Offense: Device confiscated – parent/guardian pickup required
2️⃣ 2nd Offense: Confiscated + 1 day In-School Suspension (ISS)
3️⃣ 3rd Offense: Confiscated + 1 day Out-of-School Suspension (OSS)
🚨 Further Offenses: Multiple days OSS + possible ban on bringing device to school
