We will be having a Senior Sunrise on 8/28/26 starting at 6:30AM ending at 7:00AM. This is for seniors only.

Senior families are invited to watch their student walk the red carpet into the last first day of school!
8/26/26 Beginning at 6:50AM, school begins at 7:11AM. Mrs. Halsey will be taking pictures of all seniors.
Families must park at the baseball/softball field. Parking lot spots are for students/faculty.

Liberty Golf Team will be hosting a Parent/Player informational meeting on Thursday July 30 at 5:30 pm at LHS. Please plan to attend. Being shot records (seniors only) and updated physical. We will offer CERP training for those who have not completed and eligibility forms will need filled out and returned.

CERP Training will be held at LHS cafeteria on July 31st at 6PM. CERP is required by the state for athletes to participate in high school sports. The athlete and parent/guardian must attend.
This training is valid for the 26/27 school year.

Volleyball tryouts are August 3rd at Trap Hill Middle School from 12 to 2.
All athletes must have a physical and CERP training. All seniors must have up-to-date shot records to participate.

Golf is much more than a high school sport—it’s a game you can enjoy for a lifetime. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, golf teaches valuable life skills such as patience, honesty, self-discipline, perseverance, confidence, and sportsmanship. It also provides opportunities to build lasting friendships, compete as part of a team, and develop a skill that can be enjoyed with family, friends, and even future employers long after high school.
No experience is required! Boys and girls in grades 9–12 are encouraged to come out and give golf a try. Coach Yost is excited to work with motivated students of all skill levels, helping each player improve their game while building a competitive and supportive boys’ and girls’ golf program. Come be part of something special, challenge yourself, and discover a sport you’ll be able to enjoy for the rest of your life!

Liberty will be hosting a CERP training on July 24, 2026 at 6PM. This is only for Liberty athletes. Student and parent must be present for training. CERP training must be renewed every school year to participate in sports. Training is good for all sports for the 26/27 school year.

Athletic Trainer Authorization. The authorization endorsed for Athletic Trainer may be issued to an individual who is certified as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification, Inc. for Athletic Trainers, and who has registered with the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy. The Authorization may be reissued annually upon application to the WVDE with documentation of valid West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy registration and the recommendation of the employing county superintendent. Additionally, these individuals must attend the Athletic Trainer workshop.
20.3. Limited Football Trainer Authorization. In the event, that a county board of education cannot obtain an Athletic Trainer, the affected county board of education may employ an individual with a medical background that may include, but is not limited to: chiropractor, physical therapist, RN, licensed practical nurse, physician, physician assistant, paramedic, occupational therapist, emergency medical technician, or nurse practitioner. The individual employed must complete the requirements to receive a
Limited Football Trainer Authorization and must present a copy of a high school diploma or state -approved high school equivalency.
