We had our 1st 9 weeks attendance incentive at LHS!
Students were able to sign up for a painting party-lead by Mrs. Sandy Shaw, watch a movie & eat popcorn, play board games, have free play in the gym, sing karaoke, and Hilltop Coffee Company set up!
240 students met the goal of missing 2 days or less during the entire 1st 9 weeks. Obtaining a 90% attendance rate.

Snowball Tickets go on sale Monday, November 6, 2023. The last day to purchase tickets is January 5, 2024. Purchase tickets during lunch from Mrs. Vance in the office.

Congratulations to Mike Tolliver and Taylor Blankenship. Mike won 4 WVU vs Baylor Basketball tickets from 93.5 The Buzz and Taylor won a cutting board designed and handmade by Mr. Workman’s cabinetry and mill working class.

College Application and Exploration Week begins tomorrow. College Application and Exploration Week is a chance for the entire school community to discuss college options and promote college. We have many events planned for the week including a trip to WVU Tech, exploring ACT, and having colleges come speak to our students and waive application fees! Each student who participates in the dress up days will be entered into winning a gift card each day! #cfwv

Last night after our football game, STUCO members and students gathered for a bonfire and fellowship! We have picture proof that our principal, Mrs. Bailey is always putting out ALL the fires! Special thanks to the following: Trap Hill Volunteer fire department; Mr. Jimmy Workman for arranging our bonfire and to Mrs. Doss, Principal of Fairdale Elementary for supplying the lumber, and to Mr. Allen and Mrs. Vance for assisting with supervision!
Our other STUCO activities this year have included Trap-Hill-O-Ween Community Trick or Treat; a trip to Fairdale Elementary, wearing Halloween Costumes for an indoor parade & to read to the kiddos. We also sent get well cards to a fellow high school student at WWHS after being injured in a game.
Our next STUCO meeting is Thursday, Nov 9 (Due to no school on Nov 10). Let's build up this program and continue to grow, have fun and serve our community!

Student Council visited Fairdale Elementary on Friday to read to the students and be in the costume parade! We hope to inspire the younger students to have a love of reading and their community.

Liberty High School is hosting Purse Bingo at the Lester Volunteer Fire Department on November 17! Please see any member of the dance team, student council, or history club to purchase a ticket. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
