Liberty High School, Congratulations for achieving 92.648% attendance for the 2nd month of school! We are 2nd place for best attendance percentage in the county for high schools! Our goal is 93% for every month and we are so close to it! We reached it the 1st month and we can do it again for the 3rd month. Let your students know how proud we are for coming to school and to keep it up as we go through the school year. Our feeder schools deserve a congratulations as well. They set the tone throughout our students lives of why attendance is important. Trap Hill - 93.930% (Increased from last month!) Marsh Fork - 91.997% Clear Fork - 91.156% Fairdale - 93.385 % We are highlighting students who have perfect attendance for the month and who have only missed 1 day or less for the month. Our featured students for the month of September are : Alexis Hutchison (Perfect Attendance) - She enjoys attending school because she has found peers that motivate her. She thinks attendance is important to prepare you for the real world. Ethan Perryman (Missed 1 day or less): He says, he missed 80 days of school last year and is repeating failed classes. His goal is to attend more school to achieve good grades/credits. His peers help motivate him to attend school!

LHS Parents/Guardians, We are sending home benchmark results today for your student. Our benchmark program, iReady, measures your student's progress in math and reading. Please be looking for the envelope we provided your student and discuss the results with them. We will be assessing and benchmarking throughout the school year to continually improve students scores by working on strengths and areas of improvement. Encourage your student to try their best on their benchmark exams so we can have a true understanding of where we need to meet our students needs. Thank you, Mrs. Bailey
