Volleyball tryouts will begin August 7 10 AM - 12 PM. We will be doing rolling cuts throughout the week. See you in the gym!

Parking passes will be on sale next week, August 10 - Seniors only and August 11 - Underclassmen, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Parking passes are $90 for the year, $50 for one semester. To purchase a parking pass the Parking Permit Form must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian. We will not issue a pass without a completed form. Visit the school's website to download the form: https://lhs.rale.k12.wv.us/ You will locate it midway down the homepage. We will have copies at the school the days of sale. SENIORS - To paint your parking spot there is an additional form to complete and turn in along with your Parking Permit Form. Please download it from the school website : https://lhs.rale.k12.wv.us/

Liberty Raider football will begin tomorrow (July 31, 2023). Report time is 7:45 am practice will be from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

Cross Country practice begins Monday at 8:00 AM. Meet under the awning in front of the school. See you there!

Golf will begin 7/31 at 4:30 PM at twin falls. We will meet on the practice green. Anyone interested must have a completed physical form and seniors must provide shot records.

If any student would like to volunteer for Stuff the Bus on August 8th please contact Amanda Wimbish at amanda.wimbish@k12.wv.us. This is a great opportunity for students in National Honor Society, HSTA, or any club to gain volunteer hours!

Before school let out students participated in Beckley Water Company's annual Kids Calendar by creating art that incorporated reduce, reuse, recycle. Calling anyone interested in Cross Country! If anyone wants to meet up at the overlook at the lake today at 7:00 pm, Thursday morning 8:00 am, and Friday 3:00 pm, we will be there. Reminder! Peer Leader Workshop will be held at Woodrow Wilson from 8AM to 2PM on July 24th for the students selected to serve as a peer leader for the upcoming school year.

Reminder, sports and school will be fast approaching! Since 2012, the WV department of Education has required that students entering 12th grade must show proof of a meningococcal booster. This is additional to the required meningococcal and tdap required for 7th grade. You cannot participate in fall sport practice, buy a parking pass, or remain in school on the first day without documentation of the required immunization. An updated dental and wellness exam for incoming seniors can be forwarded to the school nurse. For questions, contact or visit your physician or notify your school nurse.

Students interested in joining the marching band, practice begins July 25th!

Mrs. Barker had 4 students pass the AP English exam! Congratulations to Josie Hartshorn, Katie Stephenson, Zadie Worley, and Abram Yee!!Students had to receive a 3 or higher out of 5 to pass the exam and earn college credit. Great job and what an accomplishment for these students!

Calling all 4 year olds all the way to 5th graders 🗣️! Cheer camp will be held July 28th to work on various skills with a performance at the end of the day! Please contact Sandy Canterbury to sign up!

Mrs. Cooper had 6 students pass the AP Bio exam! Congratulations to Jadon Acord, Karlee Coleman, Joseph Murphy, Allyson Miller, McKinlea Hill, and Chase Pennington. Students had to receive a 3 or higher out of 5 to pass the exam and earn college credit. This is a huge accomplishment for these students!

Starting on August 7, 2023 Liberty High School will start volleyball practice. Must have a physical dated after June 1, 2023 before you can participate in practice and shot records for seniors. There will be multiple cuts during the first few days of practice.
