SENIORS AND SENIOR PARENTS!
The Promise Scholarship is now super scoring your ACT or SAT test scores for eligibility! If you missed getting the scholarship from your junior SAT, you need to take it again to get the scores! This scholarship is good at WV schools for 4 year degrees, and is worth up to $5,000 each year for four years if you continue to meet the requirements.
See the counselors if you need help registering for either exam, or think you may qualify for a test fee waiver.
The counselors will help the seniors complete the Promise application at school once the application is available.

On September 13, LHS worked with deputies from the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office and their K-9 Unit to conduct a routine check of our building and parking lots. This will be a routine occurrence throughout the remainder of the school year. I would like to extend a big thank you to the deputies of the RCSO for their continued support of the Raider community and thank you for helping to make our schools a safe place to learn!

If you are in 10th through 12th grade and interested in the military, you need to sign up to take the ASVAB. The exam will be on November 3rd in the morning. If you have ACT in the morning, you will stay here and be excused from ACT to take the exam. This is the only time we plan on offering the exam at school this school year. The better you score on the exam, the more jobs you will be eligible for and the better sign on bonuses that will be available to you.
